Breast augmentation is the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedure in the U.S. It can give women with small or unevenly-sized breasts a fuller, firmer, better-proportioned look through the placement of implants in the breast. Women may elect to undergo breast augmentation for many different medical and aesthetic motivations, including balancing breast size and compensating for reduced breast mass after pregnancy or surgery. The procedure may be combined with others such as a breast lift for more satisfying results.
Implants are silicone shells filled with saline (salt water) and are placed behind each breast, underneath either breast tissue or the chest wall muscle. The procedure lasts one to two hours and is typically performed with general anesthesia. After surgery the patient's bustline may be increased by one or more cup sizes.
'My patients are very involved in selecting the shape of the implant that would best suit their needs and goals,' says Dr. Buczek. 'Most of my patients simply want to increase their breast size by one or two sizes'.
'It is best to make the incision for the implant around the areolar tissue (nipple area) so that the scar will be barely visible after the healing process,' relays Dr. Buczek. 'In addition, I believe the optimal results are accomplished by placing the implant under the muscle,' says Dr. Buczek. 'This gives a more natural overall appearance'.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms. The effects of BOTOX occurs with 2 to 14 days and the results last 4-6 months.
Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths to produce healthy, glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look.
"I perform chmeical peels in the office, the procedures takes an hour, and after 5 days the peeling process is generally completed. Patients have smooth, light reflecting, tighter skin." states Dr. Buczek.

Restylane® is a cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a crystal clear gel which in a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid.
Restylane® maintains its shape using the body's own moisture. They hyaluronic acid in Restylane® is 'hydrophilic' meaning water loving. As hyaluronic acid gradually degrades, each molecule binds to more water and over time, the same volume can by maintained with less hyaluronic acid. The ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide lasting results.
Restylane® is free from animal proteins.
After your treatment, you might have some redness or swelling. This will normally last less than seven days.

In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces: deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jaw line slackens, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck. Facelifts counteract these problems by removing fat and tightening skin and muscles, giving your face a fresher, youthful look. Incisions are made in inconspicuous places such as behind the hairline and in natural folds of the face and ears, and scars fade to near invisibility in time. After surgery, some patients appear 10-15 years younger.
One of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures, liposuction sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat from areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, chin, cheeks, neck and upper arms that have not responded to diet and exercise. Local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be used and the procedure can last anywhere from one to two hours depending on the amount of fat being removed.
There are several different methods surgeons use when performing liposuction, including tumescent liposuction, the super-wet technique, and ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL). In all types a tiny incision is made in as inconspicuous a place as possible; a cannula (small tube) then breaks up the fat layer and suctions it out.

Substantial weight loss can leave patients with excess, baggy skin. Often, plastic surgery provides the answer to the discontentment and unsightliness of your extra skin.
'Generally, it is best to wait 14-18 months after the weight loss procedure before going onto plastic surgery,' says Dr. Buczek. At this point, weight loss has reached a plateau.
'Post-bariatric contouring is a relatively new specialty in the cosmetic surgery industry and I offer my patients experience and expertise,' relays Dr. Buczek.
The primary cause of excess skin following weight loss is quite simple. The muscles, skin and other tissues all expand to accommodate additional weight. Loss of elasticity will then occur and after weight loss, the fat is gone but the skin may not return back to it's original appearance.
Dr Buczek notes that how much loose skin an individual will have following weight loss is age related. Younger patients tend to have less loose skin. The amount of weight loss is also an important factor. An individual who loses 200 pounds is likely to have more excess skin than somebody losing only 75 pounds.
'Many of my post Bariatric patients come into my office seeking a tummy tuck as a result of massive weight loss' states Dr. Buczek, 'and this procedure really helps the appearance of their overall look and is an additional confidence booster.'
Other procedures include brachioplasty (upper arm skin revision) breast reduction, and thigh lift.
'Many of my post-bariatric patients relate to me that they now look great with clothes but want to look good in the mirror before getting dressed' states Dr. Buczek 'The advances in cosmetic surgery now make this an obtainable goal.'

Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin from the upper and lower eyelids. It may be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient's field of vision. Blepharoplasty can be combined with BOTOX® treatments to raise the eyebrows or reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow's feet or dark circles under the eyes.
Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, the patient who is tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair may welcome laser and intense pulsed light hair removal with relief.
Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth. Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be "active" at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.
